“Tonight, a few patches of ice or frost can form again in places in the Ardennes,” said the IRM, which placed three Walloon provinces (Liege, Namur and Luxembourg) on yellow alert from 7 p.m. until Thursday 10 a.m. Another alert concerns the whole country this time, also at 7 p.m., for the presence of fog. “Fog will re-form in places overnight,” writes the MRI.
Complete weather forecast
Tonight and night, the weather will be calm and foggy with always a lot of low clouds and in places of fog. Fine drizzle may occur in isolation, and a few patches of frost or ice may also form south of the Sambre and Meuse furrow. With minimums of -1 degree in the Ardennes to +4 degrees in the west of the country, it will be a little less cold than the previous nights. The wind will be light from east to northeast or from variable directions.
Tomorrow Thursday, the day will start under the greyness with a misty sky and sometimes fog. Thinning should then return during the day. Depending on the thinnings, temperatures will reach 3 to 7 degrees. The wind will generally be light from the east.
The night from Thursday to Friday will be cloudy but again colder. Low clouds and freezing fog banks will reform in some places. Low of -1 to -6 degrees with a light wind from variable directions.
The weather will remain dry on Friday. Over the northwest and west, stubborn low clouds are forecast and, in the morning, fog (freezing) will be possible. Elsewhere, large thinnings are on the other hand planned after dissipation of the freezing fog banks. Maximum of 3 to 6 degrees under a light wind of variable direction or from south.
