Bentley could present at the Geneva Motor Show a luxury convertible concept designed in partnership with its personalization department Mulliner.

We were talking about it a few months ago, and now we have confirmation: Bentley is indeed preparing a brand new model, which will be officially revealed in just a few days. Last December, we were talking about the arrival of an ultra-exclusive luxury container within the range of the British manufacturer, inspired by EXP 100 GT concept presented meanwhile in July. In a recent press release, the manufacturer precisely confirms the presentation of a new Geneva show, and announces it already through a video and a photo, but does not give any concrete information, if it is not its name. This novelty will therefore bear the name of Bentley Mulliner Bacalar, named after a lagoon located in Mexico. But then why Mulliner? As a reminder, this is the personalization department of the English brand, responsible for creating tailor-made vehicles for the most demanding customers. This brand new model will therefore be handcrafted by the craftsmen of this branch of Bentley, who was originally a coachbuilder, and who now seems to want to distance himself from his parent company. This is indeed what our British colleagues announceCoach, who also recall that Mulliner announced last year its desire to create an ultra-exclusive model sold only 10 copies worldwide. So it’s done.

Over a million euros

So far, Crewe’s brand has given no details on its new model, so it says it will draw inspiration from the concept unveiled last summer. As a reminder, this one stood out in particular for its bodywork covered with a paint made from rice husks, as well as its few details made of marsh wood from 5,000 years old. However, it is doubtful that the series model, although it is also very exclusive, has such attributes … The brand specifies in its press release, however, that “ ethical and sustainable materials “Will be present on this vehicle,” which can only be truly appreciated by a few people Confirming its very limited production. On the engine side, we can expect propulsion 100% electric, while the EXP 100 GT concept uses four engines as a reminder, offering a maximum torque of 1,500 Nm, while the 0 to 100 km / h is then brought down in just 2.5 seconds. Anyway, we should know more on March 3 when it is revealed at Geneva show, when a price exceeding 1.5 million euros is already announced. Discover our latest articles on Bentley news:
