Update from 2/14 at 10:40 a.m. : the program allowing to invite the Goose of Untitled Goose Game on its computer is now also available on macOS. The creator has updated his website allowing to download it.

Untitled Goose Game, it was THE Australian sensation of independent game in 2019. The goose that one incarnates has the mission to sow trouble in a peaceful village. But it is now embedded on Windows via a hilarious program imagined by a young fan.

We see you coming. “But is it already available on PC, Untitled Goose Game?“. Exact. But we are not talking about the game signed by House House, but a kind of virtual assistant … embodied by the goose of the game. What could go wrong?

A real virus that you install yourself

Coded in a few days by Sam Chiet, barely 18, the program proposes to randomly display the game goose on your Windows environment. It will then launch into completely absurd challenges, like stealing the mouse pointer, or randomly moving windows to drive you crazy.

Sometimes the goose will come out of a corner of the screen, drawing with it a randomly chosen meme (fully customizable). Or let you hear its characteristic cacophony, as hilarious as it is crisp.

The unpredictable and totally stupid nature of this program is exactly what motivated its creator to get to work. It should also be noted that the goose can also interfere in your video game games, where it will trigger shots at random, or will make you go wild. A real little virus that we install of our own free will! Of course, just pressing the Esc key. lets get rid of it without further ceremony.

Clippy found his master

I’m a big fan of things that are deliciously ridiculous, and that’s – hopefully – exactly what it’s all aboutExplains the creator of the program to The Verge. “He’s a little office assistant whose sole purpose is to get in the way of your work“. Something to give cold sweats to anyone who has known Clippy, the Windows 90 desktop assistant.

In the space of one night, a real community was organized around the creation of Sam Chiet. His site is already flooded with comments, and a Discord has been created for fans to share their creations. Indeed, the young creator was quick to add some features to his evil program. Everyone can now adjust the parameters of the goose of doom in the configuration files, as well as add their own GIFs and images to personalize the experience.

One thing is certain: some people will not understand what is happening to them when they discover a goose on their computer when they arrive at the office on Monday morning. And I’m obviously not targeting anyone in the Clubic editorial team.
