After North Rhine-Westphalia and Baden-Wurttemberg, Bavaria has also reported a new case of the novel corona virus. It was a man from Middle Franconia who had had contact with an Italian who later tested positive, the Bavarian Ministry of Health said on Thursday evening.
North Rhine-Westphalia had previously announced 14 new cases in the Heinsberg district. As a result, the number of cases of infection in the district rose to 20. All newly added people were released into domestic quarantine, and inpatient treatment was not necessary.
The Baden-Wurttemberg Ministry of Social Affairs reported four more cases in the state in the evening. Three of those affected had previously had contact with an Italian participant at a business meeting in Munich, which was subsequently tested positively in Italy.
