Grunheide. A huge disco under the new Tesla factory in Grunheide? With a subwoofer the size of a car? This is at least one thought game by company founder Elon Musk on Twitter. Which German bands he would perform there.
Tesla boss Elon Musk caused an internet sensation with an idea for his planned e-car factory near Berlin. “Tesla should have a mega-rave cave under the Berlin gigafabrik,” wrote the US company boss late on Monday evening (local time) on Twitter in English. “With an epic sound system and a woofer the size of a car.”
At the suggestion of a Twitterer that the electrical steel power plant could then be invited, Musk wrote: “And Rammstein.” He combined his idea with a survey in which at least half a million people took part by Tuesday.
It was initially unclear whether Musk really meant the proposal seriously. However, the Tesla boss is also known for unusual ideas when tweeting. And so the company made it clear that only Musk knew the intentions behind the tweet.
Tens of thousands responded to the idea on Twitter with “Like”. The entrepreneur inspired thousands of reactions. For example, one wrote: “Elon, don’t forget to bring your dance moves.” From 2021, Tesla wants to build around 500,000 electric vehicles a year in Grunheide near Berlin. Around 360 critics had objected to the factory for environmental reasons.
