This Friday, after updating the death toll to more than 5,000, the organization has assured it after verifying that there are more infected in Europe than in the rest of the world, except in China. The announcement coincided with the declaration of the state of alarm by the Spanish Government, effective from Saturday and which will last for the next fortnight.
On the other hand, Ghebreyesus has ensured that it is “impossible” to determine when the peak will occur of the pandemic in Europe, according to AFP.
