This year’s Champions League participants FC Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen have apparently decided to help financially weaker clubs in times of the Corona crisis. As the picture reports, representatives of the four clubs met last week to develop a model.

According to the report, the top clubs agreed to provide a money pot with a total of 20 million euros. The amount is to be split up by the DFL depending on the urgency. The aid should benefit needy clubs from the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga.

According to the image the sum is made up, among other things, of DFL reserves from the TV contract. The clubs forego the income and release it for support. In addition, the four clubs mentioned are said to have increased the amount out of their own pocket with an additional 7.5 million euros.
