The speech of a future king, to be sure, agrees with the English media after the speech given by Prince William last night.
He is the first of the Windsor clan to speak on the subject of Covid-19 which also affects the United Kingdom.
In his message, the Duke of Cambridge makes a strong appeal on behalf of the National Emergencies Trust, an organization responsible for collecting donations and then distributing them to those suffering from the pandemic.
“Whenever adversity strikes, the people of the United Kingdom have always had this unique ability to help each other and come together,” said the prince. “The way local communities support those who suffer shows the best of our values and of human nature. “
A video message published on social networks, which comes a few hours after a press release from Harry that goes in the same direction. William’s younger brother stressed the importance of caring “in these uncertain times”: “Now more than ever, we need each other. We need each other to (…) feel less alone during a time that to be very honest is scary”, wrote Harry and Meghan on Instagram.
Tea @NatEmergTrust has launched an appeal to raise funds to help local charities support individuals suffering hardship as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.
