Dennis SchrOder and Oklahoma City Thunder have won the duel of the German national team in the North American professional basketball league NBA against Daniel Theis and the Boston Celtics. Led by the strong Braunschweiger, who scored 27 points and including the decisive basket 8.5 seconds before the end, Thunder prevailed 105: 104 in Boston and, after the third win in a row as the fifth best team in the Western Conference, is clearly heading for play-off -Course.
SchrOder stole the ball in the crucial scene of Boston Kemba Walker and ensured the victory of the guests with a lay-up. At the Celtics, which despite the fourth home defeat in a row and four defeats in the past five games are still in third place in the Eastern Conference, the Theis came in solid with 11 points and five rebounds. Top scorer of the game was Oklahoma star Chris Paul with 28 points.
There was nothing to get for the other German NBA professionals. With a not too effective Maxi Kleber (two points and five rebounds in 34 minutes) the Dallas Mavericks lost 109: 112 to the Indiana Pacers, but as the seventh-placed team of the West still have a thick cushion in the fight for a play-off place. Isaac Bonga (three points) and Moritz Wagner (four) lost 89-100 to Miami Heat with the Washington Wizards.
Still without Isaiah Hartenstein, who is currently active for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers farm team, the Houston Rockets suffered a fourth defeat in the 106: 126 loss to Orlando Magic.
