UEFA postpones finals in Champions League and Europa League

Due to the corona virus pandemic, the European Football Union UEFA has postponed the Champions League and Europa League finals indefinitely. This was announced by the Continental Association on Monday.

The Champions League final was to take place on May 30 in Istanbul, the final of the Europa League on May 27 in Gdansk / Poland. The women’s finals on May 24th in Vienna were also postponed until further notice.

UEFA plans to “analyze available options”

“The working group that was set up last week as a result of the European football stakeholder conference call chaired by UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin will analyze the options available,” said UEFA: “The group has already been reviewing the calendar announcements will be made in due course. ”

The previous week had also determined that the game year should end by June 30th.
