People who have had close contact with confirmed cases of COVID-19 must be kept in home isolation –They cannot leave their house for any reason– for 14 days to assess if symptoms begin (fever of 38 ºC or more and, in addition, cough, sore throat or difficulty breathing). In these circumstances, it is essential to follow the instructions of health professionals regarding staying at home.

Also those who have had direct contact with the affected person’s body secretions. There should be no people over 60 years in the same home. Evaluate the possibility of moving them to another place, where, preferably, they are alone or in some room alone. The person under evaluation should not be in close contact with other people who live in the house (not face to face within 2 meters). So that the environments are not contaminated, when coughing or sneezing, the person under evaluation must cover the mouth and nose with the elbow crease or with a disposable handkerchief (and discard it immediately). Then throw the used tissues in a garbage can. Ventilate the rooms regularly.
