Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s career may be over. This is explained by the Gazetta dello Sport in its edition of the day. According to the Italian newspaper, the Swede, confined to his home far from his club AC Milan, plans to stop at the end of the season. His contract with the Milan club expires on June 30 and the 38-year-old striker would not be really tempted by an extension.
Six months after his return to Milan, Ibrahimovic could therefore hang up the crampons. The Swedish striker had started his career 21 years ago and plans to retrain as a manager, according to the Italian newspaper. The one-year option in his contract should therefore not be exercised.
His decision was born of a deep reflection on the future of AC Milan and the stability of the club, which has just separated from Zvonimir Boban, who had attracted Ibrahimovic to Italy last summer. If this is confirmed, it will be the end of an era for European football!
