Isaiah Chapman, an MMA fighter at the Bellator, was shot dead in a shootout on Tuesday. The American organization confirmed the news of the death of the American who had fought his last fight in October 2019.
The MMA world has lost one of its fighters. Bantamweight Isaiah Chapman was shot several times on Tuesday near his home in Akron, Ohio. Transported to Summa Akron City Hospital, the 30-year-old American fighter did not survive his injuries. Chapman was part of the Bellator organization, one of the largest in the MMA world.
A positive career assessment
In his last fight, the American lost in October 2019 against his compatriot, Patchy Mix, while he stayed on three consecutive victories. Chapman had a professional record of 9 wins for 4 losses. Tributes have multiplied on Twitter as have those of the organizer of the Bellator’s fights, Rich Chou, and even Patchy Mix.
