Agents of the National Police have arrested a 53-year-old man in the municipality of Arrecife, with thirteen police records, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of serious disobedience to law enforcement officers by contravening the guidelines of the Royal Decree that establishes the state of alarm in our country.
The events were triggered during the early hours of Thursday, when a police patrol observed a man sitting on a bench on Calle Leon y Castillo, in the capital of Lanzarote. Police officials identified the man and warned him that should return to his home and stay there.
Scarcely fifteen minutes later, the same patrol observed a vehicle occupied by two men and a woman driving on another street in Arrecife and stopped it. One of the occupants was the previously identified man by the agents, so he was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of serious disobedience.
Both the woman and the other man were finally proposed for administrative sanction for not complying with the state of alarm. After investigating the corresponding police report, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority. The police intervention was carried out by agents of the Arrecife Police Station.
