Crème brûlée is considered one of the most popular desserts – but it is somewhat complex to produce. We are now tricking with this recipe

There are numerous cooking and baking tricks on the net. This quick and simple creme brulee recipe particularly impressed us, because you don’t need cream or expensive vanilla beans. And no extra burner to caramelize the sugar. Awesome, isn’t it?

For two servings you only need:

  • 2 cups of vanilla ice cream
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar

Why vanilla ice cream?

Vanilla ice cream consists of the ingredients needed for creme brulee: cream, milk, sugar and ground vanilla pods and / or vanilla flavor. For the preparation, melt the ice in the microwave and then stir in the egg yolk. Then the mass is filled into small casserole dishes. This is then placed on a baking tin filled with water (the water should reach about half of the bowls) and left in the oven for 40 to 50 minutes at 170 degrees top / bottom heat.

Then cover the finished cream with cling film and refrigerate for about two hours. Before serving, melt the sugar in a pan over medium heat and quickly pour a thin (!) Layer over the cream.
