Also the FC Augsburg has responded to the financial impact of the corona crisis. The players, coaches and supervisors of the professional team agreed to waive part of the salaries.

Managing Director Stefan Reuter described the team’s act of solidarity as an “important sign” of support. The savings in the salary of the players should help to be able to cope with the current crisis situation.

“Even if game operations should resume in the foreseeable future – even if there is no spectator – we will have to accept double-digit millions in revenue losses by the end of the calendar year,” said CFO Michael Ströll of kicker quoted. FC Augsburg waives short-time work
