Having a garden at home and being able grow your own vegetables, vegetables or aromatic herbs is a luxury. Especially if you are not lucky enough to have a garden or the square meters of your home are quite limited. However, even if you have little space, we assure you that it is possible to bring to your kitchen table ingredients cared for by yourself, with an unbeatable flavor and texture. Today, we are going to tell you how to get it and what tools you are going to need.
- The first thing you have to decide is the space you are going to allocate to your garden, if it will be vertical or horizontal and, depending on it, the base structure for cultivation will be one or the other.
- You must choose a place that counts with natural light and with the maximum hours of sunlight possible. Of course, it does not need to have a direct impact.
- Whatever your base or grow table, make sure it has a good drainage system, with a water outlet that channels the surplus or collects it, if you have to put, for example, trays.
- It will be a ‘dirty’ space, due to the land, pruning and transplants, and even irrigation, so keep this in mind when dedicating one or another space.
Once you have decided the perfect place for your indoor garden, you will have to decide the size that you are going to dedicate to it depending on what you want to grow; carrots are not the same as a little oregano and thyme. The measures you will need for one or the other is, logically, different. While the former need a grow box, the latter can grow well in a few pots. Have you already thought through everything? So, let’s see what utensils do you need, at least to start. As soon as you become an expert, you will surely know how to advance yourself.
