Italy It has registered a new decrease in the number of positive active cases, which fall for the third consecutive day, and has added another 437 deaths in the last day, a figure lower than the previous day and which increases the total number of deaths from the pandemic in the country to more than 25,000, according to the balance published this Wednesday by Civil Protection.
Currently, there are 107,699 active coronavirus cases in the country, a dozen fewer than those recorded on Tuesday. In total and since the pandemic began, they have tested positive for coronavirus 187,327 people, including the 25,085 who have died.
Likewise, the number of people hospitalized continues to decrease, so that there are now 23,805 hospitalized, 329 fewer than the previous day.
Of all of them, 2,384 are in intensive cares, 87 less than Tuesday. Another 81,510 people are isolated in their homes with mild or asymptomatic symptoms, while the number of people who have managed to recover from the virus amounts to 54,543, almost 3,000 more than the previous day.
Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte met this Wednesday with some of his ministers and his main advisers in the context of managing the pandemic to discuss how the so-called ‘phase two’ will be carried out, when some of the restrictions imposed so far.
