A 36-year-old mother and her one-year-old daughter were injured in a car on the federal road 104 near Malchin (Mecklenburg Lake District) and were seriously injured. The woman’s car had initially slid into the opposite lane on Thursday afternoon, the police said.
There the car collided with an oncoming truck and then crashed into a tree. Rescue workers brought mother and child to a clinic. The 56-year-old truck driver was not injured. An expert examined the accident site. For the duration of the rescue work, the road between Ritzerow and Rosenow had to be closed for almost five hours.
