On May 1, a ZDF camera team was attacked by the hooded. State security is now investigating a possible political motivation.
After the attack on a camera team of the ZDF satellite broadcast “heute-show” on the May holiday in Berlin, state security is now investigating. That said Berlin police chief Barbara Slowik on Saturday in the RBB-Inforadio.
Because of the ongoing investigations, she initially did not want to comment on further findings, such as the political background of the perpetrators. “It was a really cowardly attack,” said Slowik.
According to a police spokeswoman on Friday, four people were injured so severely that they had to be taken to the hospital. The ZDF team had been attacked by hooded people in the afternoon after filming.
According to the police, six people were arrested. Some of the suspects should be brought before the judge on Saturday, as the Berlin Attorney General announced.
