The dome of a building on Calle Alfonso XII de Madrid has collapsed this morning without causing injuriesAlthough the rubble has fallen on the balconies of the upper floors and on the public road, affecting several parked vehicles, Emergencias Madrid has reported.

Firefighters they have secured the area and have proceeded to clean up the affected part from the building and to remove the rubble from the street.
The head of the Madrid Fire Department guard, David Ramos, explained that there have been “numerous material damages” by the fall of the rubble to the street, but no person has been injured.
In addition, it has stated that in principle it seems that the building does not present structural damage and there is only “cosmetic damage”, although flaws are “still being assessed”.
