The Paris Saint-Germain made a donation of 100,000 euros in favor of the humanitarian organization Action against Hunger “with the aim especially of equipping its employees and volunteers with protection material” in the fight against the new coronavirus pandemic, announced this Wednesday the club.
With this donation, the association can “buy 100,000 surgical masks, 3,000 protective glasses, 1,500 reusable gloves, 1,000 protective shirts, 2,000 hydroalcoholic gels and 200 thermometers” to “continue analyzing and curing malnourished children internationally,” said the PSG in a statement.
The Parisian team, through its foundation, had already launched in April a platform asking for donations on the internet to continue “helping the medical personnel” of Paris hospitals and “the most vulnerable populations” in this health crisis of COVID-19.
Those donations collected on the HelloAsso platform, a partner in the initiative, will be added to the 217,500 euros already raised by the Paris Saint-Germain through the sale of 1,500 collection shirts and the donation of 100,000 euros made by the club to benefit the French Popular Relief (SPF).
