The former Brazilian international had been imprisoned for using a false passport.
Released from prison, Ronaldinho was placed under house arrest in Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay, after paying bail of $ 1.6 million. However, it has been 70 days since he was able to leave the country because his lawyers have still not managed to get him released.
“We have no choice but to wait for the investigation to be completed,” said a defense source in remarks reported by Belga.
The former Brazilian football star had come to the country to promote a book before being embarked on a false passport case which could cost him five years in prison.
