Peru registers more than 250 thousand positive cases at COVID-19, of which many have presented clear symptoms of the disease, but others were not even bothered by what they believed were not putting the lives of others at risk.
According to the figures provided by the Minsa, more than 8 thousand fatalities due to coronavirus, who had presented severe symptoms of the disease, but there is another group of people who had no illnesses but who died suddenly, which follows the question: Can asymptomatic patients die at any time if they do not receive treatment?
Given this, the doctor Elmer Huerta, explained through a local media that people who have been infected with COVID-19 and who are asymptomatic are not at risk of dying from lack of treatment.
“That must be an internet legend, until now it is known that there is no (there is a risk of death), the only thing that is known is that they do not have symptoms and spend their normal lives”, clarified the epidemiologist.
He also clarified that according to other studies that 50% of all infected people are asymptomatic and added that this group is considered to be “super contagious”, so it is always important to use masks.
