(ANSA) – BEIJING, JUNE 30 – Demosisto dissolves after China’s green light to Hong Kong’s national security law. This is the communication posted on Twitter by the pro-democracy party founded by student activists such as Joshua Wong, Nathan Law, Jeffrey Ngo and Agnes Chow, who resigned from the party in the morning.
“After many internal deliberations, we decided to dissolve and stop all operations as a group under the circumstances,” reads the post. Demosisto has been targeted for campaigns in favor of reforms such as universal suffrage. (HANDLE).
