The German sports coupe, which should be revealed next September, is expected to develop up to 510 horsepower.

After the revelation, a few weeks ago, the new BMW 4 Series, the Bavarian firm should not be long in revealing to us its sports variant: the BMW M4. A version that we have already seen via spy photos and that our illustrators have imagined via the renderings that we are making available to you today.

The new BMW M4 should be presented next September. Unsurprisingly, it should take over the new twin-turbo in-line six-cylinder launched on X3 M and X4 M. Two versions should therefore be available, one of 480 horsepower and a second of 510 horsepower which will integrate the famous Competition pack.

In addition to the engine, we will find an eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission responsible for distributing power to the four wheels. Indeed, like the BMW M5, the new M4 will no longer be really a propulsion but a four-wheel drive. BMW should however integrate a power distribution system adjustable on several levels, thus making this car a real all-wheel drive or even a propulsion with all the power distributed to the rear wheels.

The BMW M4 should be declined, like the 4 Series, in a convertible version by next year. Other variants will also be available, including the famous CS version, which will certainly be even more powerful, and probably a long-term CSL variant. If the BMW M3 will also see the light of day and be technically closer to the M4, an M4 Gran Coupé with four doors would not be envisaged by the Bavarian firm for the moment.
