Fido’s ashes in the master’s tomb

(ANSA) – GENOA, JUNE 30 – From today in Liguria it is possible to tumble, after cremation and in a separate urn, the ashes of the pet animals in the tomb or in the niche of the owner or in the family tomb on request or by the will of the deceased or his heirs. This is foreseen by an article in the bill on ‘Discipline on necropsy, funeral and cemetery activities and rules relating to burial of pets’ approved with 27 votes in favor and an abstention from the Regional Council. A transversal proposal presented by the directors Angelo Vaccarezza (Let’s change!), Fabio Tosi (M5S) and Sergio Rossetti (Pd). The burdens deriving from the burial of the pet are borne by the disposer and their cost must be defined by the Municipality of the burial cemetery on the basis of the duration of the residual concession.
