On the occasion of Queen Jetsun Pema’s 30th birthday, the Bhutan royal family released the first photos of their second child.
A new monarchy is growing. To celebrate Queen Jetsun Pema’s 30th birthday, the Bhutan royal family released the first pictures of their second child to their subjects. In these pictures, the young parents – nicknamed Kate and William from Asia – appear alongside their 4-year-old son and their baby. The Royal Court wrote, in caption of these photos: “To commemorate the 30th birthday of Her Majesty the Gyaltsuen on June 4, we have the privilege of sharing with you a magnificent collection of photographs of the royal family “.
Five photos were then revealed on which appear King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, Queen Jetsun Pema, the Gyalsey (Prince) Jigme Namgyel, born February 5, 2016, and the youngest of the tribe, a little boy also known today as His Royal Highness The Gyalse (The Prince). The one whose first name should be announced “soon”, according to the Royal Court, is born March 19, 2020.
“Our beloved Queen”
This series of photographs dates from May 29. These photos were taken at Lingkana Palace – the residence of the king and queen located in Thimphu. On Facebook, the Royal Court also wrote a short message to celebrate the Queen’s birthday. “With deep gratitude and love for this special occasion, we direct our prayers to bring you happiness and health from our beloved Queen”, can we read. The king has been on the throne since his father’s abdication in 2006. His son, Prince Jigme Namgyel is on the front line in succession, followed by his little brother.
