The Kosovo government approved the decision declaring Hezbollah as a terrorist organization.

In a statement from the government, it was reported that the decision was taken “to protect national, regional and global security, protect state interests and take an active role in international alliances fighting terrorist groups”.
Meliza Stublla-Haradinaj, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, who submitted the decision to the government’s vote, said that the Kosovo government thinks that the military and political wing of this organization is working in practice at the same time, saying that the organisation’s aim is to “advance terrorist agendas”.
The decision obliges the responsible security bodies in the Republic of Kosovo to take the necessary measures to implement this decision in accordance with international practice.
Hezbollah’s military wing was included in the list of terrorist organizations by the European Union (EU) in 2013.
