Nigeria Disease Control Center (NCDC) Director Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu, in a statement to the press, new type of coronavirusFame (Kovid-19) stated that it has spread to 36 states besides the capital Abuja.

Ihekweazu noted that the number of cases in the country has increased by 675 in the last 24 hours to 20 thousand 919.

Ihekweazu said that the loss of life increased to 525 with the death of 7 more people in the last 24 hours in the country, and that the number of healed patients was 7 thousand 109.

Lagos 8 thousand 864, capital Abuja 1583, Canoe 1190, Oyo 988, Rivers 930 and Edo 797 were the most prevalent states in the country.

The number of cases exceeded 318 thousand in the African continent

The number of Kovid-19 cases in Africa has exceeded 318 thousand, and 8 thousand 371 people have died.

The countries with the highest number of cases on the continent were South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria, Ghana and Cameroon.

There are no active cases of Kovid-19 in Seychelles. Besides this country, no deaths were reported in Eritrea, Uganda, Namibia and Lesotho.
