Ligue 1 could end playoffs before August 2. This is the message that UEFA has sent to the LFP after having decided to end the season in France and that it has the initiative by Jean-Michel Aulas, who today presented an appeal to the Council of State to end the season in the form of a tie.

“First, We would like to clarify that it is the responsibility of the federations of each country to decide the format of their national competitions, taking into account the specific circumstances and measures of each country.“UEFA wrote in a letter published by Le Parisien newspaper a few minutes ago.

The highest body of European football considers that the decision of the French League is premature and does not meet its demands. “As UEFA mentioned weeks ago, the decision by the French authorities to cancel the season was made early.” Monday is the estimated date for the State Council to issue its verdict regarding the appeal filed on Thursday by Olympique de Lyon.
