Valencia, along with Sam Van Rossom, was eliminated by Saski Baskonia 73-75 in the semifinals of the final phase of the Spanish basketball championship on Sunday evening in Valencia.
Van Rossom ended the game with 14 points (best total for his team), 5 rebounds and 3 assists in 25:21.
The Basques, who were able to count on 21 points from Zoran Dragic, will meet in the final (Tuesday) FC Barcelona, who fell from San Pablo Burgos earlier in the day 98-84.
The Spanish championship was interrupted on March 8. The first 12 teams in the ranking after 23 days have been invited to participate in this final phase, which began on June 17, organized in La Fonteta, in Valencia, behind closed doors.
The first two of two groups of six played in the semifinals. Manu Lecomte with Gran Canaria and Quentin Serron with Bilbao were eliminated in the group stage.
Seventh of the classic phase at the time of the interruption, Valence and Van Rossom had created a small surprise by winning their group, notably eliminating Real Madrid, defending champion and second in the general classification after 23 days.
