In Bursa, the defendant who injured his dentist with a knife from his chest because of toothache was sentenced to 11 years and 8 months in prison.
The incident occurred in Bursa Oral and Dental Diseases Hospital last September. Mert Demir made an appointment at the hospital to have his tooth pulled. Demir was examined by the dentist Hamdi Gören. Then he made 2 needles to numb the tooth he would pull. However, allegedly, Demir, who did not match the female despite the two needles, stabbed Gören from the chest with the claim that he was trying to pull his tooth out without numbness. Demir, who was detained after the incident, was arrested and sent to prison. Doctor Gören was discharged after his treatment.

Mert Demir (19), a detained defendant who was brought on trial for the crime of “attempting to murder the public official”, continued at the Bursa 15th High Criminal Court, and attended the hearing through the Audio and Video Information System (SEGBİS). Repeating his previous defenses, the defendant Demir told that he was acting with a moment of anger, that he was embarrassed and regretted because he had harmed the health worker.
