While waiting for the official announcements of the President of the Nation, Alberto Fernández, about the next phase of quarantine for the country and especially for the Metropolitan Area of ​​Buenos Aires (AMBA), the Ministry of Health reported on the morning of Friday 25 new deaths compared to the last report, bringing the number of deaths to 3,466.

The new victims are 13 men, 5 residents in the province of Buenos Aires; 7 in the City of Buenos Aires (CABA) and 1 in Río Negro; and 12 women; 5 from the province of Buenos Aires; 6 residents in the City of Buenos Aires (CABA) and 1 from the province of Santa Cruz.

The total number of confirmed cases in Argentina is 185,373 (49.1% women and 50.9% men), of which 1,117 (0.6%) are imported, 53,660 (28.9%) are close contacts of confirmed cases, 100,811 (54.4%) are cases of community circulation and the rest is under epidemiological investigation.

To the date, the total of discharges is 83,780 people and 98,127 are studying the disease actually. On Thursday, 16,685 new samples were made and since the start of the outbreak, 707,508 diagnostic tests were carried out for this disease, which is equivalent to 15,591.9 samples per million inhabitants.

The number of cases discarded until Thursday is 409,040 (per laboratory and per clinical / epidemiological criteria).

The average number of cases in the last 7 days is 5,335 and the current incidence rate is 409 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, reported from the Ministry of Health.

In turn, they indicated that the median age of those infected is 40 years and 7.3% of cases are health workers. The mortality rate is 76 people per million inhabitants and the median age is 75 years.

The number of confirmed cases that are in intensive therapy there are 1,076 and 84% are in the AMBA. The percentage of occupation of intensive care beds is 55.3% nationally and 63.6% in the AMBA.
