An accident occurred this Saturday, July 4, a little before noon, in the east of the island of Montreal. A vehicle hit an SUV parked at the back of the Halles d’Anjou, located in the Anjou sector, leaving its driver injured.
Constable Raphaël Bergeron, of the Montreal Police Service (SPVM) mentions to Narcity Quebec that the event occurred around 11:40 a.m.
According to his information, the man seated in the driver’s seat of the SUV “lost consciousness at the time of the accident”.
He was then reportedly transported to the hospital. As of this Saturday, July 4, at 12:40 p.m., the authorities are still awaiting “a return from the hospital center regarding his state of health”.
He was also accompanied by a passenger, who suffered minor injuries.
With respect to the vehicle that stamped said SUV, it was carrying two people on board, a driver and a passenger.
There would be no danger to their lives and the two would be in stable condition.
Mathieu Wagner, cameraman for Radio-Canada and RDI, also shared some pictures of the event via Twitter.
We can see the two vehicles and the traces and damage left by the collision.
The drivers and passengers involved in the event are believed to be in their seventies.
“We are talking about people of more or less 70 years who are involved in the accident,” said agent Bergeron.
The authorities are also said to be still there to shed light on the situation:
“For the moment, we are trying to determine the sequence of events inside the parking lot. “
