Especially, exports to America, Africa and Middle East countries increased. Exports to the US increased by 14.22 percent from 69 million 597 thousand dollars to 79 million 491 thousand dollars. Foreign sales to the Middle Eastern countries increased from 62 million 271 thousand dollars to 141 million 733 thousand dollars with an increase of 62.41 percent.
Exports to African countries, which sent 97 million 755 thousand dollars of products in the same period of last year, were recorded as 115 million 808 thousand dollars with an increase of 18.47 percent.
137% PERCENTAGE EXPORTS INCREASE TO ISRAEL AND 399 PERCENT TO BRAZIL
Foreign sales to Israel, which is one of the most important markets of the sector, increased by 137 percent and reached 73 million 322 thousand dollars from 30 million 945 thousand dollars. In June, there was a significant increase in exports to Belgium from European countries. Foreign sales to this country increased from 68 million 488 thousand dollars to 92 million 541 thousand dollars with an increase of 35.12 percent.
The sales of sector representatives, who exported 22 million 806 thousand dollars to Egypt in June last year, reached 52 million 766 thousand dollars in the same month of this year, increasing by 131.36 percent. Foreign sales to Brazil, one of the developing markets of the sector, increased by 399 percent. Brazil, which sent 5 million 798 thousand dollars of products in June 2019, made 28 million 945 thousand dollars of foreign sales in the same month of this year. Significant increases in exports to countries such as Sweden, Switzerland, Serbia and Norway were also recorded in June.
