DRUMMONDVILLE, Qc – The 86-year-old man who had been wanted by police since he was last seen Tuesday morning in Drummondville, was located Wednesday morning on Highway 401 in Cornwall, Ontario.

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) reports that Fridolin Lavoie was traveling in his automobile. He was in good health, although police believe he may have cognitive problems. He was to be brought home to Drummondville.

When he disappeared, the police said they had reason to believe that Mr. Lavoie could also be in Sherbrooke, Saint-Hedwidge-de-Roberval, in the Lac-Saint-Jean region or in Saint-Zotique, in Montérégie.

However, the SQ believes that the octogenarian probably got lost in wanting to go to Saint-Zotique, a municipality located about fifty kilometers from Cornwall.
