In July 2015, Laurent Henkinet left Standard … not his Standard. A native of Rocourt, Liégeois at heart, he left to look for playing time elsewhere. Kortrijk, OHL, Waasland Beveren …. these clubs have seen the current number 2 of Rouches. But all that is in the past and Henkinet is back.

“Everything is going very well,” the goalkeeper told us. “It’s almost as if I had not left. The Standard is my town, it’s not far from where I live. I also integrated well.”

A little more than three years ago, Laurent Henkinet was without a club and was training with RFC Seraing to maintain his condition: “The story is beautiful. It is proof that you should never let go. football, when you go down, you do it very quickly. I really did not expect to come back to Standard. I hope this beautiful story will continue “.
