Switzerland recorded 193 additional cases of coronavirus in 24 hours, the Federal Office of Public Health (OFSP) announced on Wednesday. No new deaths are to be deplored, the total remaining at 1703.
A total of 964 people are in isolation and 3,108 of their contacts are in quarantine. In addition, 9,164 other people observed quarantine after returning from a country at risk, according to figures from the FOPH. Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein have counted 34,802 confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic.
There are fourteen new hospitalizations since Monday. A total of 4,304 people have been hospitalized since the start of the pandemic, including 36 over the past seven days. Of the 777,631 tests carried out since the start of the pandemic, 5.4% were positive, a stable figure.
