The Civil Guard of Contagem and the Military Police interrupted a party that had lasted almost 48 hours in the National Quarter. According to the authorities, about 60 people were gathered in a house, breaking the orders of social distance.
The Guard received an anonymous tip, around 1:30 am on Wednesday (8). When they arrived at the scene, they found 17 parked cars, 35 men and 25 women crowded using drugs and alcoholic beverages and loud music.
All people were searched, but no illicit material was found. The operation ended at around 3:30 am and the guests were released. Those responsible for the residence were heard and will receive a fine that can vary between R $ 500 and R $ 5,000. Nobody was arrested.
It is not the first time this week that officials interrupt parties in Contagem. On Sunday (5), a “baile junino” with 50 guests was dismantled by the police and a fugitive was eventually found and arrested. According to the most recent data from the Minas Gerais State Department of Health, Contagem already has 1,058 cases and 58 deaths from the new coronavirus.
