After more than two weeks without new cases and several days without active cases, two new cases of COVID-19 were identified in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean. Monday morning, new data published by the Quebec government indicated a total number of people affected since the start of the pandemic of 332.
We had to go back to June 15 to list the last case in the region. No active case had also been reported for several days. Government data has reported 330 people reached for days. Of these, 304 people were cured and 26 died from the coronavirus.
The two new cases listed therefore change the situation on the regional territory which is no longer free of active cases.
