Nick Cordero died of Covid-19 last night. The actor in the series “New York: Special Unit” had been fighting death for several weeks.
It was his partner, Amanda Kloots, who announced the sad news on his Instagram account: “God has just welcomed a new angel to paradise. My dear husband died this morning. He was surrounded by the love of his family, who sang and prayed as he gently left the earth. I can’t believe it and suffer. My heart is broken because I cannot imagine our life without him. Nick was so brilliant. He was everyone’s friend, he liked to listen, help and above all talk. He was an incredible actor and musician. He loved his family and he loved being a father and a husband. We will miss him and Elvis in everything we do every day. ”
Nick Cordero had seen his health deteriorate sharply in recent days. Doctors had announced to his wife that he would have to undergo a double lung transplant.
“I could never thank everyone enough for the outpouring of love, support and help that we have received over the past 95 days,” wrote Amanda Kloots.
Seen in “New York: Special Unit” from 2015 to 2019, Nick Cordero had joined another detective series, “Blue Bloods”, with Tom Selleck.
