The kings, accompanied by their daughters, will attend this Monday the misa funeral to be held in the Almudena cathedral, in Madrid, for all those who died from the coronavirus pandemic.

The Eucharist will be officiated by the Cardinal Archbishop of Madrid, Carlos Osoro, and concelebrated by all the bishops of the Permanent Commission of the Spanish Episcopal Conference (EEC).

In addition to the kings and their daughters, state authorities are scheduled to attend the funeral mass and representatives of other religious denominations.

The bishops of the Permanent Commission of the EEC will meet in Madrid from Monday in person, after the COVID-19 pandemic forced them to delay the meeting.

It is in the course of this Permanent Commission when the bishops have decided to celebrate the funeral mass in the cathedral Santa María la Real de la Almudena in Madrid.
