US not planning to meet with North Korea

North Korean officials said they have no plans to continue nuclear talks with the United States.

North Korean officials said they have no plans to continue nuclear talks with the United States.

According to the report at the Yonhap agency, First Deputy Foreign Minister of North Korea, Coe son-hui, said in the statement that unless the US leaves “hostile” policies for the Pyongyang administration, there are no plans to continue nuclear negotiations with this country.

“Is it possible to meet or negotiate with the United States, which maintains hostile policies towards North Korea, ignoring agreements made at the previous summit?” used the expression.

Former US National Security Advisor John Bolton said on Thursday that President Donald Trump could hold a surprise summit in October with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un before the elections.

Nuclear negotiations between the US and North Korea

US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un met for the first time in Singapore on June 12, 2018, and agreed on the removal of nuclear weapons and permanent peace in the Korean Peninsula.

The two leaders met once again in Vietnam on 26-27 February 2019, but the summit ended faster and without agreement than expected. Finally, on June 30, 2019, the two leaders meeting in the disarmed region between North and South Korea decided to continue the nuclear negotiation process.

Working-level meetings between the two countries in Sweden in October 2019 were cut due to the fact that Americans continue their “old attitude and attitude” according to North Koreans.
