Val-des-Monts receives more than $ 2 million to improve its road network

The Government of Quebec is providing financial assistance of $ 2.2 million to the Municipality of Val-des-Monts. A sum dedicated to improving and developing the road network. Buckingham and Sauvé roads could thus be redone.

Gatineau MP Robert Bussière made the announcement on Wednesday. He is delighted to see that the financial assistance will allow major work to be carried out on the municipal network.

The mayor of the Municipality, Jacques Laurin says that this is an amount that can make a difference. For several years, he has maintained that the Municipality has invested a lot in the road network. On the other hand, “there are limits to the investment we can make», He specifies.

Mr. Laurin explains that the funding will be used to almost completely rebuild 3.5 kilometers of road. He specifies that this is a serious repair of the road.

In the last budget of the Quebec government, the amounts allocated to the municipal network through the Local road assistance program were also increased by $ 310 million.
