A fire broke out at 00.30 in the electrical transformer located in Kervansaray Mahallesi Acıpayam Boulevard. Upon the notice of those who saw smoke rising from the transformer, many firefighters were dispatched to the scene. While the firefighters who intervened in the flames tried to extinguish the fire, the police teams took security measures in the environment.
The fire was extinguished after about 1 hour of operation. Power outages occurred in Kervansaray, Bağbaşı, Zeytinköy, Tekkeköy, Gökpınar, Cumhuriyet and Kayıhan Neighborhoods due to fire. According to the news of DHA; While the fire created fear in the environment, citizens went out of their homes and watched the work. It was stated that the electricity distribution company initiated the work to end the outage.
Ali Özdemir, one of the citizens who watched the fire fighting activities, stated that there was a power outage in their neighborhoods due to the fire. Kerem İz said, “While I was sitting at home, the electricity was cut off. I saw smoke coming out when I went out to the balcony. When I got out on the street, the fire started. Our electricity was cut off, the firefighters put out the fire,” he said.
