The violent storm that hit the Ajoie (JU) on Saturday evening caused several flooding of buildings in the municipalities of Courgenay, Alle, Vendlincourt and Bonfol. The Alle – Coeuve road was closed to traffic overnight, before reopening around 10:30 am Sunday.

In Cornol, the lightning that fell on a tree caused the start of a vegetation fire, said the cantonal police. The rapid intervention of the firefighters and the rain made it possible to contain the incident, which only caused material damage.

The services of the municipalities concerned have been strongly requested and will continue to work in the coming days to restore the situation.
