MEXICO CITY.

The Mexican ambassador to Honduras David Jiménez González is treated at a health institution in Mexico City, after he was brought aboard an air ambulance this Wednesday from Tegucigalpa, due to the effects he faces from the Covid virus -19.

I wish a speedy recovery to David Jiménez, Ambassador of Mexico in Honduras, who arrived yesterday by air ambulance and is in intermediate therapy with a very good prognosis. Welcome David, hug with all affection ”, expressed on Twitter the Secretary of Foreign Relations, Marcelo Ebrard.

Before being appointed ambassador to Honduras last May, David Jiménez González was municipal president of Cuernavaca, Morelos, a two-time federal deputy and senator of the Republic.

At the end of last year, Ambassador Jiménez was in charge of monitoring the development of the Sembrando Vida and Jóvenes Construjando el Futuro programs, financed by Mexico with an investment of 30 million dollars to prevent migration.

Both programs were signed by Presidents Andrés Manuel López Obrador and Juan Orlando Hernández on July 27 during a visit by both leaders to the state of Veracruz.
