AGI – A new step forward for the Roma stadium. The Capitoline junta has approved the two necessary resolutions and preparatory for the approval of the final provision relating to the project of the new stadium in Tor di Valle, or the urban planning agreement which must be signed between Roma Capitale and the implementing body.
The council has given the green light to the resolution with the scheme of collaboration agreement between Rome Capital and the Metropolitan City of Rome relating to the adaptation of the definitive project for the unification of the via del Mare and via Ostiense, in the section between the GRA and the so-called Marconi knot.
The resolution was also approved with the draft collaboration agreement between Roma Capitale and the Lazio Region aimed at strengthening local public transport infrastructures, in particular the Rome-Lido railway line.
The entire unification of via del Mare and via Ostiense, which will improve accessibility not only to the area of the new stadium but also to the city center and the coast of Rome, is expressly provided for by resolution 32 approved in 2017 by the Capitoline Assembly in which the public declaration is confirmed interest in the proposed construction of the new stadium in Tor di Valle.
As regards the upgrading / renewal of the Rome-Lido railway line, interventions by the Lazio Region are envisaged, such as the supply of new rolling stock, for an estimated cost of a total of 180 million euros; Roma Capitale will complete the new Acilia Sud stop, renovate and upgrade the current Tor di Valle stop, build two trunks for reversing the trains downstream of the Acilia station and supply material rolling stock on loan for use.
