Britain imposes quarantine on travelers from France and the Netherlands

Duration: 00:55

Due to increasing coronavirus infections, Great Britain imposes a quarantine obligation for travelers from the Netherlands and France. Such a regulation already applies to holidaymakers coming from Spain and caused an outcry at the end of July. Grant Shapps from the Department of Transport announced the restrictions on Thursday evening in London: “We are announcing that the Quarantine will come into effect for more countries – including France, the Netherlands and a few others – as we are working hard to ensure our numbers stay low and can’t afford new cases from elsewhere. ” In one of the largest sandwich factories in the world, at Greencore in Northampton, 292 people have now tested positive for the corona virus. The company had all employees tested because of many cases in the region between Birmingham and London.
